What is GRI?

The leading global standard for sustainability and ESG reporting

GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) is a voluntary framework and the world's most widely used for sustainability and ESG reporting. It provides a common, comprehensive language for reporting the environmental, social and governance (E/S/G) impacts of organizations.

The framework is built from Universal Standards and Topic Standards — environment, society, economy and governance — and enables transparent, proven and comparable reporting to stakeholders.

In Israel GRI isn't legally mandatory. However, the Securities Authority and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange encourage ESG reporting, and many public companies adopt GRI voluntarily to meet investor, customer and international-market expectations.

Environment (E)

Emissions, energy, water, waste, biodiversity and environmental impacts.

Society (S)

Worker rights, safety, community, human rights and social impact.

Governance (G)

Ethics, corporate governance, transparency, bribery and risk management.

A global language

The world's most common framework — enables comparison across organizations and sectors.
