What is CSRD?

The European directive mandating audited sustainability reporting

CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) is a European directive that replaces NFRD and significantly expands the scope of companies required to report on sustainability — including large companies, listed companies and companies with significant business presence in the European Union.

The directive mandates reporting on sustainability impacts (E/S/G), risks and opportunities, per ESRS standards (European Sustainability Reporting Standards) — and subject to external Assurance.

In Israel CSRD doesn't apply directly, but it's relevant to Israeli companies with subsidiaries, activity or significant business presence in the EU. European clients and investors may also require aligned reporting.
