CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) is a cyber security standard published by the US Department of Defense (DoD). Version 2.0 implements NIST SP 800-171 requirements as its basis.
CMMC is divided into 3 levels: Level 1 (Foundational — 17 controls), Level 2 (Advanced — 110 controls of NIST 800-171), and Level 3 (Expert — NIST 800-172).
CBE doesn't just prepare you for certification — we implement NIST 800-171, write the procedures, and guide you through the certified assessor (C3PAO).
Protecting Controlled Unclassified Information.
Level 1 — basic, Level 2 — full NIST 800-171, Level 3 — advanced.
Required in every DoD contract that includes CUI.
The audit is performed by a certified body — C3PAO.
DoD contractors and suppliers — CMMC is mandatory in contracts with CUI.
To sector pageEvery DoD contract with CUI requires at least CMMC Level 2.
Israeli companies supplying to DoD — CMMC required.
Cyber service providers to DoD — full security.
Without CMMC, you cannot win DoD contracts with CUI
CMMC is based on NIST 800-171 — a federal standard
DoD contractors require CMMC from their suppliers
